Is this for Nanowrimo? Because the date of commencement is rather suspicious. ;)

  4. Yes, no, maybe, maybe not. I wouldn't know myself. I wrote an article about a week ago and I thought that I rather liked where it was going, and decided to take it a little further.

I had a whole bunch of other ideas that I hadn't used, and thought they sounded suitable.

Thus, this silly project was born. I went over to the nanowrimo website, and signed up: I was disappointed to find that they didn't seem to have any publication engines on their website, and so decided to put something up on blogger.

It's an interesting read-- I'll certianly be watching it to see where it goes.

I signed up for Nanowrimo, but I'm really stuck for any ideas. Short story ideas, I have. But novels? No. But it's there... just in case.

  6. I'm not fussed if it doesn't meet the deadline; I'm just doing it this way to try and get a bit of glory from the nanowrimo guys.

  7. Can anyone explain the whole "Nanowrimo" thing to me, preferably in no more than 30 words; can't be bothered doing my own research.

    Thanking you in advance.

(Don't you just HATE it when people put that at the end of emails; letters; posts on blogs? So fucking pathetic and twee, and oozing with fraudulent manners and not at all subtle pressure.)

  8. That's why I'm glad you put it in the middle, Caz. Nanowrimo is short for 'national novel writing month'. It started in America, but anyone can get involved. You sign up and for the next month you write like crazy. The aim is to achieve 50,000 words, and at the end, you get a shiny gold web-certificate.

How joy, how very joy, eh?
