I'm browsing through a bookstore, and have reached the literature shelf. I'm on the 'A' section. Some of my favourite authors are in the 'A' section. Brian Aldiss, W H Auden, Kingsley Amis, Jane Austen ...
"Hmm," I think to myself. "I wonder if there's any books by that famous author Ampersand Duck?"
Oh blimey! I wish. Still, wait another 18 months and I may have something in print, although it won't be my own words.
ReplyDeleteTa for the mention :)
Did you look for anything by Tim Train?
ReplyDeleteDid ya, did ya, did ya?
He does a great line in little poetry books, of the eccentric kind.
No, I also didn't see any books by the well-known author Avatarbriefs. They didn't have *anything*, that bookstore.
ReplyDeleteAmpersand Duck, not a problem.
Ah, Timmy, Avatarbriefs can be found in all good undies stores - duh!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, Avatar briefs-undies.
ReplyDelete"What a scathingly brilliant idea"
( Bet you don't know what movie that line comes from Timmy!)
Caz , by George I think you have hit upon something here.
You could put your posts on undies of all shapes sizes and colours.
How novel!
How chic!
I could handle the marketing side of it while you keep churning out the posts.
We'll make millions, Caz, millions I tell ya!.
Presumably Avatarbriefs is an underwear line specialising in items for Hindu deities, with an above average quantity of limbs.
ReplyDeleteWell, I suppose Avatarbriefs is pretty armless, as well as being pretty, so yes, we could certainly whip up something suitable for any deity of choice, no matter how many limbs.
ReplyDeleteKath, I think you're onto something. Just think of what we'll be able to do with that common blogosphere phrase "more under the fold" - tee, hee.
Oh, TimT, you were looking in the wrong place -- you should have checked the Ds. For 'Duck, Ampersand.'
ReplyDeleteAh, so that was it. I *knew* I was missing out on something.
