ReplyDeleteWell, initial rating figures were good, but it remains to be seen whether this show can sustain its audience in later episodes. Personally, I think it lags a bit in the middle and could have done without a few of the subplots, but that's just me.
ReplyDeleteIt's implausible that no-one needed to eat of go to the toilet for the entire 24 seconds.
ReplyDeleteOther than that, compelling, seat of your pants, a roller coaster of emotional exhilaration, with convincing characterizations, engendering audience empathy and involvement. The guy playing the president delivers his lines better than real Presidents.
Four stars.
Yes, I was particularly impressed by the speech he gave in this opening episode.
