Thanks. I think I could have made the blank space a bit blanker, and maybe taken a broom and spruced it up a bit. But it's really pleasing to know you think that.
There is a lovely blog called Division 42 www.division42.com where at first people started writing articles to be commented upon. But then they got lazy and their articles got pretty nothing-ish and soon they were writing things like "Hi here is a blog talk about your day today" or something similar." Often these posts would get the most comments for the week!
Sometimes people write things under the guise of having something to analyse or have an opinion on but I'm not so sure why, the "nothing" blogs seem to grab just a big an audience and when they do have an opinion on something important, like the colour of Kevin Rudd's socks, people just talk about their day anyhow!
You could, of course, be inadvertently starting a new religion based on the mystical significance of "The Three". (It can't be the triune God, as there would need to be some connection, like in 3 circles with an overlap.) Give me a few hours and I'll knock up some theology for you. For a cut of the action, that is.
I declare this Comment without Post post open for... comment.
ReplyDeleteNice day we're having today.
ReplyDeletePartial sunshine with high scudding clouds, breeze freshening in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteCertainly one of the best comments without a blog post I've seen for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThis post delivers exactly what it promises. Well done.

Oh by the way, nice day I'm having out this way.
I'm eating a coconut covered apricot ball.
How 'bout you? Anything exciting in your life?
Toodle-doo!
I just ate some Burger Rings!
ReplyDeleteAnother thing people could do would be to make comments that they had always wanted to make, but the right post for those comments never came along.
For instance...
Yes, now that you say so, Nicole Kidman does have a weird nose and it must have an unbalancing effect on the geopolitics of the Middle East.
Or:
I'm so glad you did a post about what sort of foods to eat while only wearing socks! I was thinking about this just earlier today!
I have been contemplating those 3 dots for hours now, but their meaning evades me still.

There's no ellipsis like a meaningless ellipsis. Well done, sir!
ReplyDeleteWe can but do our worst, and contribute as little as we can to the cause, m'lud.
ReplyDeleteCreate a need, and fill it.
ReplyDeleteThe first rule of marketing, and now TimT just needs to sell it for $300 million to Yahoo, and he can retire rich.
Moo!
