How pleasant to know Ms Greer!
Who has written such volumes of stuff!
Some think her ill-tempered and queer,
But a few think her pleasant enough!
Her mind is concrete and fastidious,
Her output admired, and prolific,
Some critics have called her 'invidious';
But to fans she is 'Simply t'riffic!'
She has written on Female Eunuchs,
And fusty old 18th-century tomes,
And pro-crocodilian polemics,
And a number of Enlightenment poems.
She has lectured on the novels of Austen
To all her Australian peers;
And her fans as one all declare
'How pleasant to know Ms Greer!'

That's "How pleasant to know Emeritus Professor Greer" to you.
And there you were thinking you could do the whole title in one vowel-free syllable.
EP Greer? Oh dear! It seems that in choosing 'Ms' over 'Miss' I have been remiss. Rems, even.
A hit and ms affair?
So many exclamation marks, so few Greers.
Oh, that was a perfect poem to use. And it takes me back to the olden days when my Granny used to read Lear to me by the hour. It made me the weirdo I am today.
I would have liked to have seen EP Greer.
We wish you a merry Christmas, and a happy new Greer!
(All out of new puns - old stocks low - help!)
