Oh God, the nightmare of high school Physics! I just like the pretty colours- I don't have the spatial sense for much else.
Photons because they are like little bullets that are clever enough to be in two places at once (sort of.) They can also be used for nice sounding science fiction-y names like "photon drive". Waves are for girls or girly men (um, just kidding Tim.)
Femasculation galore! Photons are cool, though.
Isn't it time we all acknowledged the contribution electromagnetic radiation makes to our life?
Is this an underhand confession of Pink Floyd fanhood?
No, more an attempt to make a pun on a common blog title. I'm expecting Tony to come round with his lawyers claiming that he thought of the pun first, but if he does, I'll set the dogs on him.
Woof.
I'm a particle man myself - always have been. Isaac Newton was a particle man.
I like that experiment where you suspend a piece of tinfoil on a length of thread and then use a light beam to spin it around. That says 'particles' to me.
Herald Sun, Friday morning: TONY BITES DOG.
*Hummph*
I suppose dark matter doesn't get a gurnsey, given the narrow nature of your question.
And what's wrong with a bit of string theory every now and then?
Apparently string theory was just stringing us along, but dark matter is another matter altogether...
But if I did some dark blogging, how would anyone see?
