This poem just writes itself, dyslexically

4.
This verse is the last of my four-verse poem.
I've put it in here at the start.
As fourth verse it might seem somewhat out of place,
But what would you know, man? It's art.

1.
This verse is the first of my four-verse poem.
I've put it here, in second place.
I'm sorry. The first place was all used up,
But really, it's just a disgrace.

3.
This verse is the third of my four-verse poem.
It was meant to be here all along.
But thinking of how the other two went,
Perhaps it is triply wrong.

5.
This verse is the fifth of my four-verse poem.
I didn't have room for the rest.
I had to get rid of the second, of course,
But perhaps it is all for the best.

This reminds me of when I was a t TAFE, and we were split into 3 groups, who each had to write one of three Acts for a three-Act Radio Play to be resented.

My Radio Teacher enthused near the time of presentation:

"I'm so glad Act 1 is going first!"

"for a three-Act Radio Play to be resented..."

I meant "presented".

But no doubt it was resented, as well, by some.

Some obviously implied disdain there - did the teacher want to hear act one first because it was better, or did they want to get it out of the way?

My brother used to say about a show he really hated: "I really like the music at the end."

We were doing a play about aliens.

Maybe he'd been recently abducted by aliens and spent some time on a frustrating planet where they insisted on doing last things first, and first things in the middle. Things were never in the last place you looked, they tended to be in the middle place. You kept on looking after you found them.

His ejaculation was an expression of relief of at last being on home turf?

A student of mine (nameless) wrote at length about the juxtaposition of Acts 2 and 3.

You know, if you combine 'Act Two' and 'Act Three', you might very likely get 'Act Twee', which some people would take as a life motto.

You might get "Act Throo"

which might be some others' life motto.
