In My Humble Opinions

Maxine McKew is the thinking man's Maxine McKew. Maxine McKew is also the unthinking man's Maxine McKew.

In short, although Maxine McKew may not be all things to all people, she is some things to some people, and that's good enough for you and me (and Maxine).

Thank you.

Wasn't it Polonius, who said that, just after the cholera came to Denmark?

I'm gunning for a shared prime-ministership, comprising Jennifer Byrne, Maxine McKew, and Lee Lin Chin.

Who are you gunning first? John Howard?

So, what you're saying is that she's a woman who sometimes thinks, sometimes doesn't, and the rest of the time she's probably sleeping, and there are men out there who consider that one or more of these states makes Maxine McKew Maxine McKew?

Yes, I see your logic, but I'm unconvinced without a controlled study.

Hmmm, maybe a little survey question?

Do you think about Maxine McKew, or, if not, what don't you think about Maxine McKew, and why? Is Maxine McKew the woman for Parliament, or, if not, is Parliament the Maxine McKew for women?

Please answer this question in an essay 1000 words or more, and in one sentence or less. Hand your answers in at the end of class.
