I'll Give You Tattoos!

Everyone seems to be blogging about tattoos, so I thought I'd do a post about tattoos too. I like them. You don't have to get a modern map of the world pasted across your arse; some can be quite elegant.

And some of them, um, .... aren't.

It's all a personal choice, really.
Some are mystifying; why would you get a Chinese aphorism burnt into your body if you can't read Chinese? For all you know, the artist could have written "I am a huge fuckwit" across your most intimate parts.

Me, I think I'll wait until they invent animated tattoos before I get one of my own. Maybe have a Charles Dickens novel scrolling up my arm ...

Or a face on my back with eyes that follow you around the room ...

The possibilities are endless!

There was a story in california of a tattooist outside of Berkely University (am i getting my geography right? It is berkely in California isnt it?) who was tattooing Chinese Symbols onto the College students, although the college students where not aware that he was tattooing "I am a Spoilt Ammerican Brat" and "I love the penis" rather than words like "Courage" or "Cherish"

Since i got my little power button I have been annoyed a few times by people pressing it and saying "I'm turning you on"

We made a game out of pressing one another's belly buttons when we were kids. We called it 'beeping' one another. Kids can get away with that shit - adults, on the other hand ...

Maybe you should just clobber them.

maybe i should.

Maybe I should just press their belly buttons and go "beep beep!"

Had to laugh at your comment on the Chinese symbols: I have two on my left bicep (each a single word) and I had to stop and think to remember what the words are! Look, I had them a couple of years ago, who remembers, hey?

I know my words are okay, as the guy at the coffee shop down the street can read Chinese, and he didn't laugh hysterically or anything.

Need to get another tattoo soon, when I have the time and money. Have already chosen a very pretty design. (No more Chinese symbols - damned everyone has them these days.)

I hadn't noticed that lots of people are blogging about tattoos. I must be hanging out in all the wrong blogs, oh, all except this one, which is blogging about tattoos, so I guess I'm covered now.

I rather like the belly button idea; I can see people doing that to their manager at the end of their annual performance review.

The tattoo on the bum would have been very painful. Ditto breasts. (I don't even want to think about how much that would hurt.)

I think I've just about worn out the use-by-date on that 'Chinese tattoos' comment anyway; I've made that observation on several blogs.

Desci blogged about tattoos, as Did The Comic Mummy and Fel.

I assure you, beneath this emotionless virtual facade, I am tearing my hair out for shame.
